I hear them almost everyday, i also hear soundstream tarantula's everyday, and ALUM 10's and comp vr's everyday. In no way do the comp vr's compare to the Alum 10's. Tarantulas are at the top of this list ( to my sense of sound)

Ill take soundstream trantula 10's over RE 8's anyday. But hey thats only my opinion.

Ive heard alumq's and compvrs in every possible install, in car and in shop. Both in ported boxes tuned to 33hz, the alumqs couldnt get very low at all, same with a sealed box. Compvr's not only got lower but got louder.

BTW, SS trantulas are $360 a pair. Totaly a different league then RE8s.

Well, the alums really need to be fed with power to see there full potential( requires more power than a comp vr). where they being run off the same amp? thats probably why!!

get a pair of Xtant 10" Z series. There really cheap, sound awsome and get low. U could get 4 for way under 200

I got my two 10" Type R's for 220 i think....just a suggestion. Other suggestions would be comp VR's. Otherwise...idk what to tell u

x2 what DBFan187 reccomended. Cant go wrong with Adire. The L5s are also a solid choice and get pretty dang loud in the right enclosure.

how about an IA lethal injection 12" and a Phoenix Gold Octane R5.0:1.

the li is what about $170 or so shipped, and the octane is 189.00 at cbrstereo.com

thats 359.00

or for a little bit more get the brutus 1000d, and keep the option to add another lethal injection if the need for more bass arises.
