$423 budget

i have 423 bucks to spend on subwoofers and and amplifier. id like a 60/40 spl/sq. i listen to mostly rap and i dont have much truck space. im wanting 4re8s with a bx1000d amp. can anyone think of a better way to spend this money?

id say.. save a bit more and get something good. Do dont want to get something that you will regret.

not to say 423 wont get you something, but it proly wont leave you satisfied.

420 dollars is all the money i can afford to spend on a sound system, im a poor high school student.

Well u got a stang so ull only be able to fit two tens, and tops two twelves(custom), but u dont have cash for that. Im suggesting to go for two tens. ditch the RE 8's. Not gonna get loud enough ( well, for me atleast). Listening to rap music means ur all about the heavy boom. and im gonna tell u now 423 bucks is **** enough.

Your AMP: JBL bp1200.1, this amp is a must when on a budget ( 1200 watts RMS at 2ohms) but this amp of the RE 8's and ull blow the shit outta them. SO no RE 8's

COST: 240 dollars brand new.

This leaves 180 for 2 subs( two tens)

SUBS:

Soundstream tarantula 10's, U can get two for 240. so cough up 80 bucks.

each 10 is 800 rms( BIG BUMPIN) These bang hard as hell

if you cant get a good price on those i really suggest:

AUDIOBAHN ALUM10's( no joke), this sub suites rap music very well. u can get two news ones for 150-160 bucks. each handles 700rms. good sq

Loyd had 18 8's. thats totaly different than 4 man. a JBL 1200 amp will blow those 4 8's. This guy is on a budget so im giving him the best bang for the buck. Audiobahn Alums may not be the best but they are very affordable and perform well given the correct enclosure. A bp1200.1 on those alums will thrash his ride. YES, they are louder than the RE 8's, but the 8's take SQ in this case

Oh, so that means youve heard them right? 4 RE8s and a bp1200 ran at 4ohm will run them FINE.

as to 8's not being loud enuff....phooey...

i used to run two, that's right TWO 8" rf hx2's off a memphis 1000d( and they got the full 1200wrms!!) in a full size extended cab dodge ram..and did 139.6db. 4 of them would have put me close to a mid 140..(ac mike)..and they could play fairly low.....

four 8's with 1000wrms going to them would be loud as hell..especially in the right enclosure......

thought the prices of the stuff i have listed is closer to $450..i think that would be a wangin system

Hifonics bx 1000d is $225 so your over a lil bit but that would be fairly loud i bet.
