Note: All hypothetical situations should be taken into thought, with use of proper gain control.......using a 4000w amp, 2 channel......soo 2000w per channel and that would make around 1000RMS per channel??

Hypothetical Situations

A.

(2) 10" 600w max (300rms) subs

B.

(2) Kicker CVR-12 or L5 or L7 12"

C.

(2) 15" Kicker CVR 2000w max (I think they are 1000w rms)

(I know, these are major factors..........but OHMs, wiring, etc. are not taken into consider.......just general analysis')

Remember, proper gain controlling.........would it be possible/would that be a plausible setup?

What ill effects do you see happening on each setup?

How likely are those ill effects to happen and how long before they would happen (period of time)?

Please give your thoughts on each setup

rather ambiguous eh'?

Simplified:

using good volume control and good gain control/tuning, using 4000w amp on each of the listed sub setups, how long would the subs last?.......how long would it take for bad things to begin to happen? and what would be those bad things (thermal meltdown, subs bottoming out, blown sub, etc.)

No one can tell you that.

Buy subs and amps that work together.

Edit: forgot to call you a ***.

depends on which "4000" watt amp u run
and how careful you are with the knobs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif..

but besides that, I am now dumber too. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

even though if I were to not do them, I still would want to know what would happen in those situations thats all

chaunb.........I put a question mark behind that statement.......because I don't know

but generally speaking wouldn't that be (around) correct??

by all means, correct me if I am wrong...........thanks

It all depends on what rms rating the amp has. They can say its 4000w max, but in reality its only like 500w rms per channel. And if its a monoblock, u'd be looking at about 1000w on one chanel.

Here is what i understood:

With 2x500w, what would happen to the set ups?
