Notify the cops, let the person's boss know the situation as well. Pounding someone can get a lot of charges on your record you don't want. Try and get your stuff back the right way and they will get in some trouble for it and quite possibly lose their job. Not unless its some yard where they are involved with stolen stuff. Your gonna need some proof though like say, bringing that lady with you could help you out some and let her explain her side of the story.

Really though, the fact that they popped your door and entered your vehicle has to at least be criminal tresspass. Don't you think the police would respond if someone broke into your house but didn't take anything? There was still the potential.

How many times have you contacted the police so far, what have you said and what have they said each time?

Everyone who said that the police would not do anything are correct!

I just got done waiting for 1 1/2 hour's across the street from the salvage yard that the supsects vehicle was parked at and all the cop did after he arrived was just ask a few questions then gave me a brouchure that was mostly in spanish. He said since I don't have the full plate number and that 4 outta 6 numbers didnt match that he could not do anything. I then said well what about hte eye witness that can point out the guy and the fact that this is the exact same car!

Wish me luck in the future.... This guy is gonna pay!
