4 years of 150+db bass, Hearing loss tests in...

So I had to go to the Ear Nose and Throat doctor because of some persistant ear infections i have been having, turns out the cause is my tonsils... but thats not the point.

In order to get into the doc you have to go through pre patient screening and take a hearing test. The last time I took a hearing test was back in elementary school, I passed then, but with my 150+db bass and 160+db old truck i was a bit worried on how my hearing was.

Well as I sat down in the chair to take the test I withheld the fact that I'm a basshead and smiled as the test started. As I went through the test I was pleasantly surprised to be able to distinguish everything asked of me.

After the test was over the audiologist told me that I must take good care of my hearing and that I passed with flying colors. I then let out the secret that I have always had loud car stereos and laughed as I walked out the door and her jaw dropped lol

it may be because you were waiting for the sounds and paying closer attention. im like that too, but my hearing as gotten noticeably worse in the last 3-4 years....lol

Yes! When you work ~50' from the flightline and hear F16's take off every day you learn to apprecaite your hearing.

Thats like me going to the doctor for yearly checkups and telling him I eat about 10 burgers a week and drink water about once a month.
