O.k., so you are saying that it really doesn't matter. If it was your truck, what would you do?

But I personally would go 4 8s.
@Popwarhomie ,I was thinking the same until he brought up the motors. 4-8's -480 ounces motor versus 2-HD motors 600 ounces.
You also have more cooling, cone area, and amp overhead with 4 8s though. Like I said they would be pretty even IMO but I personally would do the 4 8s.
O.k., thanks for your thoughts. I'm going back and forth on this. My installer is telling me that two HD's are a different animal than 4-VFL's.
If the 2 10s are going to be cheaper just go that route.
Actually, the 4-8's are cheaper. $450 for 8's or $540 for two HD10's.
Another win for the 4 8s
So, 3.4 cubes on 4-8's? Or 2-10's with 3.5 cubes? Both on a Taramps Smart 3K.
I think if you can get the port length and tuning to your liking with the 4 8s that would be the way to go.
Should only need like 2.8 cubes net after all displacements. But that would be more Bucks expertise.
My installer, who is 25 years in, is saying that I will have around 3.4 cubes net.
I'll confirm that for you for free it you want.
