4 ohm vs 2 ohm

No difference in sound. You buy 2 or 4 ohm based on how many you will be installing and what ohm load your amp(s) need to operate correctly.

 
Basically if you have a svc 2 ohm sub, you will want an amp that does the watts you want at 1 ohm STABLE. and if you have dvc 4 ohm sub you want an amp that does the watts you need at 2 ohm Stable. I reason i capped it is that not all amps are 1 ohm stable

 
The difference in T/S parameters between a 2 or 4 ohm coil is so minuscule, no one will be able to hear a difference.

Just use the coil configuration to match your amps output power rating.
