no just gave a box idea to the guy and got bashed for it again. but what do i know? im doing a 155.2 legal. thats what this guy wants but hes gonna get stuck at the 148 mark. if he's lucky. he wants a 155+ and he wont get that with his box desighn he is making. but thatnks for pointing out that bit of information. i hope this guy post his scores with his box type and shows the meter score.

You do realize that aero ports have been proven to gain over slot ports while giving you considerable port area advantages, right? Not to mention they lessen the chance of port noise. The only real downside I see to using an aero port over a slot port is the cost..

How many aero ports do you see in big burp vehicles- and guys doing mid to high 150s on music?

People say that burp vehicles and streetbeaters have nothing in common, but thats also false.

Look @ all the guys with big walls that streetbeat- hell anyone in SB or bassrace for that matter.. They glass the inside-bondo, round corners, wrap the ports w pvc etc..

However, its all trial and error in the end..

Im sorry, I shouldn't have said that so generalized. I did not mean to imply that every single setup on the planet will experience the same effects from using aero ports. Of course you would assume that though, huh. But yes, many people have experienced gains by using them. I was simply trying to show this moron that people have had good luck with them and that they aren't useless.

i absolutley agree aero's are not worthless

In a bigger setup such as this, id love to see the diff in aero's to slot

I imagine it like this

The waves in the box has to find its way to the aero, just as a slot port.

Wouldnt the slot allow air to move easier out of the box?

So would standing waves be worse in an aero enclosure?

Can you make the box "better" with slot ports because of 45's forcing the air out- rather than the air having to find its way out w aero's?

I maybe waaaay off on this statement though.

and by the way sub2weeker i not broke and can afford to build a new box if it fails and being that this is a hobby it fun to do builds but i forgot how we have to be all serious on everything and about me doing a only a 148 im doing 152.8 at 37 with one saz3500 i will get videos up on my termlab for ya buddy with my crappy 9.5 cube box after displacement with 2 6 inch aeros tuned way to low to 27 go watch the videos in the other thread minus the bullshit the song im playing when the sunroof is caving in is 30 htz chopped an super screwed
