so my sundown nightshade 18s and saz4500s should be here some time next week and im getting ready to start my box im thinking burch with double baffle and double port wall the rest single layer with 8 peaces dowl rod 4 top to bottom 2 side to side 2 front to back and 4x4 cut in half to round out the corners so six rounded corners all sides and the back then about a gallon or so resin 4 6 inch aeros tuned to 27 htz to start 19.5 cubes to start about 16 after displacement car freq is 37 htz any thoughts i will have pics of old build up soon

sounds like a small box to me!

i have four 18s in 26cubes tuned to 27hz, 30cubes with ports and im hitting a 155.2 legal at 43hz

and the lower you tune the less port area you need and using aeros means less port as well i have a very large truck so it need lower port area to get loud

18s need space to breath. i dont believe in that small box crap unless your burping for spl.

i would have fixed the rest, but it was so bad you cant even make sentences out of it

your gonna need to spend more than 150 on a box my friend... you should be double walling everything even tripple layer walls with 3/4 mdf, or use 1in mdf.

and i wouldnt even waste your time on those aero ports unless your building a box for burping ( my opinion)

just build it with a big azz slot port. its easier to tune and makes the box more sturdy. and looks a hell of alot more impressive
