4 guage for 3500 watts?

I'm currently runnin 1/0 guage from battery to a distro block in the car cabin (about 5ft)...Then, I'm running 4 guage from distro block to a distro block in the trunk--this is a run of about 10 feet...From there, I am running 4 4 guage runs to 3 jl 300/2 amps and a Stetsom 2k6 amp...

For numerous reasons (fit, having to take car back apart, cost) I would much prefer to be able to keep this longer run of 4 guage to the trunk. Is there a problem with this, considering the amps I am powering...I know it's probably "better" to run 1 guage from battery to trunk and break off into 4 guage runs to the amps from back there, but is my current setup sufficient?

THANKS!

Wow, do you have any issues with voltage drop?

If I were you I'd run 1 or 2 runs of 0 to a back battery then 0 to the stetsom... 0 to distros for the JL's

IMO the 10 foot piece of 4 AWG then splitting THAT into 4 is the problem.

Thats a lot of current to pull through that one piece of 4 AWG.. even with 10 feet

use 4ga if you like fire //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You should use multiple runs of 1/0 or a single 2/0.
