4 gauge for zx350.4 and zx1500.1?

Is it ok to run 4 gauge from car battery to second battery then 0 gauge from second battery to amp? I will not be using the whole 1500 watts from the Kicker, but will be running it at 2 ohms. I have 2 single 4 ohm Infinity Perfects so the gain will be turned way down. I'm asking because I already have some extra 4 gauge left over and don't want to buy anymore power wire.

At the very least, make 2 runs of 4ga. Fuse BOTH of them though. I would spend the dough on more 0.

I do have some pretty thick welding wire that may work, but it doesn't have much flex. I think it is 2 gauge but it looks like 0 gauge.

Yeah 0 gauge from the front to secondary battery and 4 gauge out to the amps.

2 single 4 ohms final impedance will be 2 ohms. You will be sending 1500 watts, give or take. I would use the welding cable over the 4ga.

0 gauge. It's the long runs that you need to worry about. Not nessasarily the short runs

I would do bigger than 4 gauge from the get go. If you ever plan on doing a bigger amp at least the bigger wire is there already. I'm getting ready for a new build and going to run 2/0 cause I know down the road amps & subs will be getting a upgrade. How much wire do you need ? I have about 14 foot 1 gauge welding cable laying around here.
