4 db-500 vs. 2 type-x

It will cost the same (buying used type-x's). Will be going into a sealed box. I don't have an amp yet so either way I go, I will get an amp that provides the right amount of power. I want a good overall system, not spl only or sq only.

I only have about 3.8 ft3 to work with. The type x's only needing 2.25cf (after displacement).

If you have other suggestions in the $400 range then let me know. Thanks in advance.

I just purchased 4 - TC Sounds db-500's, hopefully it turns out good. Now off to find a 1600w amp!

Get a US Amps MD2, or a bXi2006

For sealed enclosures, it would be hard for me to not choose the Type-X. They are excellent performers sealed.
