4 Channel to An Amp?

Ok, basically the situation is this...

I had a 4 channel amp (MTX 4004) to my speakers(highs), tweeters are ran through my CD Player, and my Sub (15" 4500) is ran off a Class D MTX Amp, with a 1 farad fosgate capaciator between..after a while, the class D starting blowing fuses, minutes after I put a new one in.....I didn't think it was the wiring, cause the other amp, was fine, as I could hear the music...then one time I put in a fuse, then smoke, like literally a lot of smoke, like I thought a fire was going to start, came out of the amp...I never did get power to it again, and never figured out why it did that...

But, basically, I ordered another amp, but until the mean time, is there a way to wire the sub to the 4 channel, and still have music, till the other amp comes...

Hp= high pass

Fr=full range

If the subwoofer is capable of being a final 4ohm load (single 4ohm voice coil, dual 2ohm voice coils, dual 8ohm voice coils, etc), then you can disconnect the rear speakers from the amplifier and bridge those rear two channels to the subwoofer.

Though if your new amplifier will be there shortly, you'd be better off just leaving the sub disconnected for the time being.

Also on the 4 channel AMP, what does HP, FR, LP mean?

HP = Highpass

FR = Full Range

LP = Lowpass

For your interior speakers, you would want to highpass them.

Yea, I'm asking, cause I bridged the front speakers, just taking out the wires I needed, while still leaving the other ones in, and as soon as i did that, i connected the sub and ALL the music shut off..

All right, thanks for the responses, one last thing, the AMP I'm getting to replace my Class D amp (Specs: RMS Power 12.5 VDC: 2 Ohm Load 200 x 1 ,4 Ohm Load 100 x 1 ,Dynamic Power 14.4 VDC: 2 Ohm Load 310 x 1 ,4 Ohm Load 155 x 1) is a MTX MXA 3002 (Specs: 75 X 2 INTO 4 OHMS, 150 X 2 INTO 4 OHMS PEAK,150 X 2 INTO 2 OHMS RMS, 300 X 2 INTO 2 OHMS PEAK ,300 X 1 INTO 4 OHMS BRIDGED RMS, 600 X 1 INTO 4 OHMS BRIDGED PEAK)

So, unless I am mistaken, the new one is more powerful, and I am kinda ignorant, in this Ohms thing, how do these specs work, like per channel. Like how can a two channel amp, have that many specifications....I thought I could just take the cords the way it was on my class D, and put it on the new MXA one the same way, but my Sub is 250 watts RMS (which is constant banging, to my understanding, correct), and 500 watts max(which is comparable to one big boom?, right) Seeing how the new one is 300 watts RMS, 50 more than sub can handle, how would I hook it up, without blowing the sub, with too much power

Also, if the specs for the 4004, in regards to the first question is; RMS Power at 4 Ohms 50 W x 4 ,RMS Power at 2 Ohms 100 W x 4
