4 Channel: Components & Sub?

Noob here looking to upgrade stock system in a '03 Runner. I am wanting to put 6.5 components up front and 6.5 coxials in the rear doors. To keep it to one amp, can I just get a 4-channel amp, use 2 channels to power the components and bridge the other two channels to power the sub? If so would a JL 300/4 do the trick for JL XR components?

Any other suggestions or comments appreciated!!!

Yes, running two channels to components and bridging the other to for subs is a great way to avoid buying multiple amps. I don't know the specs on the JL stuff but if the power ratings match up (I assume they do or you wouldn't be considering using them together) that should work well.

the xr's dont like a lot of power from my experience. other than they sound great. i think you will like them.

yep. i did this with an xtant a4004 for my starter sytem 4 years back. i still use that amp for my comps. see sig.
