4 channel amp...

Im new at this obviously, but im tired of riding around with no music, so cann i disconnect my subs and just listen to the other speakers? or have i ****e d my amp up already
Your speakers/amp/subs have no model name or anything anywhere on them?

Won't be able to get any better help than what he's offering. Stop by his shop when you get a chance.

 
For the same reason that you put a certain type of gas in your car. Everything in the electronics world has a given specification that it operates efficiently at. Given users such as yourself, who have no clue on the wiring, impedance load, current draw and actual output, it's no wonder manufacturers suggest that professional installation is recommended.
