4 channel amp install HELP!

i have my speaker cable ran to the back of my deck

my speaker are connected to the deck do i make a 3way connection?(speaker to the deck and amp)

or do i disconnect the speaker from the deck and connect it to the amp (leave the deck with an empty channel)

Your amplifier should have come with basic connection instructions. Typically you run RCA's from the head unit to the amp and then connect your speakers to the amp. If your head unit does not have RCA outputs then you will need a line level converter.

Yes i know the rca part but do i disconnect the speaker from the deck and connect it to the amp

or

connect the amp to the speaker and deck?

Wooooo its simple if u have rca's running to amp then amp is now getting a signal thus you would wire your speakers to the terminals on the amp. If u wire speakers behind HU then your amp is doing nothing and you are running off HU power.. I am assuming you are running new speaker wire for your speakers and not just using the stock 40awg speaker wire cars come with from factory... I mean you can on a low power setup but why not just do it right the first time and be done with it forever.

Rcas to the amp...hook speaker wires to amp.disconnect the wires from headunit and attach to amp.
