4 channel amp fail? help...

hey guys,

i have a 4 channel DHD amp for my components,

I just noticed two of the channels dont work anymore (the rear speakers to be exact)

I switched the RCA's and the rears worked and the fronts didnt.... so i know the speakers are OK.

Can an amp fail in this manner? 2 channels will work and the other 2 stop working?

Or should i look for a problem in the RCA's somewhere, or even in the deck?

Well if one works check the other rca's. Start with the simple stuff. Get a dmm to see if anything is coming out of the channels that arent playing as well.

Edit. Well if you got your rear speakers to work without swiching ch's on the amp then its your cd-player or rca's.

Well its probably the amp then. Get a dmm to see if you can get a reading out of those channel's.

Yeah im a little slow at the moment. I had to take a double take on that.

turned out.... it was the RCA's! Two of them got disconnected under the seat, somehow. It was just coincidence that it happened to be both rear speakers.
