4 Ch Amp recommendations?

I have ...a Pioneer P9800BT head unit

- pair of Alpine 6.5 (SPR-17C) in the front (100 watt rms)

- pair of Alpine 6x9 (SPR-69C) in the back (100 watt rms)

I am looking for a great SQ 4 Ch. amp, my budget is up to $400.

Am I looking for a 400 watt (100 to each speaker) 4 ch. amp?

ryan, you suggested pdx 4.100 , I was looking at it and it's a class D amp; aren't I looing for class AB since I'm not powering any subs?

I made a suggest and gave you and offer on a great unit to help save you money. I wasnt trying to be like BUY MY STUFF BUY MY STUFF. I didnt mean to come off that way.

But still my recommendation is Sundown Audio 100.4.

Buy mine or not. Still my opinion. Also anything more pricey and more sq then a sundown is a waste with the speakers your using. No offense it just is.

Class d's can do full range. The pdx amps are very nice. I was going to recommend a pdx-4.150 but if you don't want class d oh well. You would never here a difference between class d and ab with the ear.

A good ear can easily hear the difference, most class D amps have poor S/N ratio and channel separation which is the reason they are typically used to drive subwoofers.

They are incredibly efficient and that is a plus but at the sacrifice of sounding kind of stale and lifeless as compared to an equivalent class A/B amplifier.

We all hear and interpret things differently though so YMMV.
