4 ch amp question

I always leave the amps on full IF my HU is capable of filtering through the RCAs. If the HU does not have that capability, then cross at the amps. How low does the HPF at your amp go to?

Thanks...didn't think it was a difficult question to answer. I included a side pic of exact amp I have, closeup...https://www.amazon.com/Soundstream-RUB4-600-4-Channel-Amplifier-Midnight/dp/B0027347GG

Actually it's the 4.6 model but has same features except wattage.

So since I put in new comp speakers, the mids don't have as much midbass as I had hoped. I was thinking it's the settings on my amp. Should the selectable switch be on HP, LP or full? Sounds better on HPF.
To get more Midrange area..you should be switched at FULL...Id check all crossover sections on HU and amp settings.Might take you a full day to set..and may take you a week or even longer to find your liking/settings

if you set a HP on something that already has a HP on it, its similar to eq'ing something thats already been eq'd. Leave the filtering to the deck, probably better xovers in there anyways

If u have a comp set they came with crossovers. So if the midbass isn't there it's a crossover point... your amp should be set to Full
Passive Crossovers don't HP the mid. If your deck has a HP then use it and set the amp to full. If the deck don't then use the amps HP. Use your ears to dial it in.
^^also these^^

Just don't double filters. That will throw phase all out of wack. Like if the amp has -24db and the HU has -24db they will add to each other.

Ok I'll take that into consideration.

This is sorta my weakness area when it comes to car audio....which is why I call upon people that know it better than me.
