4 amps vs 2

My cousins wanting to get the CVXS i have (15'' 4dvc) now the question is

we're thinking about doin something crazy-

4 sony xplods 1200w/500rms

each voice coil hooked up to 1amp totaling 4-

is that gonna be good or are we just wasting time?

he had just 2 of the amps hooked up to 1 coils each man his car was LOUD as F***

naturally his car went down to abt 9volts, so i imagined adding 2 more would make it a killer system

or is that all just "blowing hot air"? cuz it'd be too much work upgrading the car's elctricity? keeping it a stable 14.4-

9 volts aint nothing. I wouldnt worry about upgrading the electrical you have plenty of headroom.

seriosuly dont do it. if needed get two amps that put out a decent amount of power @1ohms and do the big 3

If you can get 2 more and hook up the door speakers to the mono amps, the mono power makes your door speakers hit much deeper ull have a ton more bass!!

For more power, just hook you amps up direct from your alternator. That's what the do in the bass competitions.
