im liking this build so far.

you arent using screws?

if you are then you just screw it and move on, if not, then it says 30 minutes, but i have yet to try without screws...i just dont have the time/patience for that

i cant find a drill bit the correct size for predrilling for the screws right now and dont really feel like going buy a new one, so im gonna go w/o for now. ill screw it all together later just for peace of mind.

The nails will most likely split the wood as well unless you use some of those tiny trim nails but that would be useless.

x2 on that. After 30 mins of Tightbond II glue drying it is pretty much set up and nailing/screwing at that point seems like a bad idea.

Just use weights and clamps - then seal later with silicone. The glued joint is stronger than the wood itself.

I like the design. I am going to have to do something similar when I build my next big box.

i used some pretty solid nails and they didnt split the wood except for one and it was a basicly unnoticeable split.

work is done for today...ive done all i can until i go pick up another sheet of mdf tomorrow and cut out the side boards, then the fun starts...lol.

finally starting to take shape and im really happy with it so far.
