I never used a table saw for cutting mdf , always used a circ saw and a fat max level and a few clamps... just as straight and once you know the distance from the end of the plate to your blade its pretty quick.. Maybe i never used a table saw cuz its a pain to cut a full sheet ** edit** by yourself

it soo much monies tho,...the brad nailer.

I love complicated projects when they look like more than some stuff slapped together. In other words, when they start to take shape...it is really cool

Damn. You have that set way too low man. The blade should only go past the wood by about 1/4". Adjust that bad boy.
Blah it doesn't matter. The only place it really would matter is if there was something underneath it. As long as it cuts all the way through, put it at whatever depth you want.... Look really good man!!!! 15 BTL in a truck, your crazy!!! I only wish I had the room to do that ::jelious::

Making the depth shallow will decrease kickback, which is always a good thing.

HAHAHA!!! Thats one of the best answers I've heard in a while!!

I'm not trying to start a fight but if you use the saw properly, kick back isn't an issue. Really it doesn't matter, to each his own, lol...

I was just saying what the manufacturers always recommend, personally I've never had a problem with kickback either.

I had crazy kickback with mine until I set it to 1.25". I don't remember what it was set to before but I couldn't make cuts longer than about 15" long without kickback. It was really frightening actually.

Kick back can be scary as heck!!! I'm a carpenter and have had lots of times were if my had was just a 1/2" closer, i'd of had a really bad day. Another thing that sucks is when you pinch the blade and it kicks back, 10X worse then a normal kick back. 5000 RPM then a dead stop FTL!!!!

bout 6-7 hrs work on it today....pretty close to finishing, just 2-3 pieces of assembly, a coat or two more of paint, and cut out the sub hole and then mount it all. possibly a late night finish tomorrow, but most likely i will have vids by sunday.

heres some pics:

and the final look of the night:

the box...the top is laying on, not assembled...i know, it looks like shit. this is with one coat, not even halfway dried, with the glare of the camera and overhead lights exaggerating the "spots".

and a couple completely finished pieces that came out NICE.
