4 18's are in the van

Should be in the ugliest sub enclosure section //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Holy shit...I just noticed he caulked the lip of the mounting area of the drivers!!!!! That's stupid. Spent good money on some nice subs then destroy them. Way to go.

so i should add more port size i take it 2 6" ports is not enough? should i goto 4? Ive never been able to find a clear answer on how much port to use...The only time people get help is after they make a mistake.

its knukonceptz 10 gauge, its a 98 caravan. The caulking was air dried for awhile before i put the subs on it since i had nothing else to use as a gasket at the time..its also 100 percent polyurethane i was told it would not be corrosive to the subs...Was i told wrong?

im pretty sure you dont need both ground\power inputs i just havnt had the money to go and buy more bats so im leaving it at 1 run until then.

yes its a cardboard port i used the boxes the subs were shipped in and i just bent it ...i used 2 boxes because one is tuned to 65 hz and one is tuned to 20 hz so i can hit the high's and the lows.... im nowhere near smart about car audio but dont be a prick when you have no clue what your talking about...

Trick no good.

OK you need 8 6" ports not 4 and that + the 65/20hz thing is why it's not that much louder than your 15" BTL ... just do 8 6" ports 9 1/2" long should be about 33hz you will have the lows and some High's and it should be louder to......O and what SSA not good enought for you

j/k

edit crap did not see your post.....crap!

it wasnt much louder because i forgot to turn up the input sens on my HU for my ipod //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif yeah im thinking i need alot more port space but there seems to be no clear answer so i just went off psp-inc.com it said 2 11inch 6 inch ports...

20cubes should need a minimum of 240^2 of port going by 12^2 per cube. 4 6" ports gives you 113^2, so not even 1/2 of what you need. Might want to consider doing new boxes and just slot port them. Do you hear any port noise? You can probably get a lot more out of them if you redo the boxes with the correct port size.

Also it looks like the subs have a rubber gasket, so you didn't need anything to seal them. Not bad for your first attempt though, just needs some polishing up is all...
