Long story short, I had 4 12s in the trunk with 7.5 cubes ported rear 32hz on a Planet Audio vx2200d and it was great. Amp was stolen, selling what I have left for new setup!

Subs: 4x Soundstream Trantula T5-15"s (currently 2 @ 1/2 oh //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif )

Amp: Crunch GP3000

Alt: 250amp

Bats: 1 extra rear bat with a cap between in and subs for readout (ill wire it up to the dash)

Lacking big 3 but waiting for good alt deal to do it all at once.

Business:

My box is less loud w/o the trunk echo, but that may be due to the port placement, box, closeness, etc obviously. I would like 4 15s which would TEMPORARILY go in my 7.5 cube box. I may lay it down and fire subs up and port backward/forward.

Building custom box:

I able to fairly easily build a 13 cube box in which 2 15s fire up, 2 towards seats, port wherever.

I have about 50" wide, ~25" height, ~20" deep. Thats plenty to put the subs on the corners and port in the middle. I'm curios if this is an efficient way? I can't find any grand prix's with big stereo systems.

Current status:

I've never build anything like this before but I feel confident. What recommendations do you guys recommend for port placement and porting overall in the cabin since all 4 cant fire forwards? Any newb half arse wall recommendations welcome as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Well, the whole wall thing is a tad bit defeated as only two of the subs are in the trunk, the other two will be inside the cabin no matter what. But regardless, given the has the proper area, that thing should thump. Looks great //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I like the two subs inverted facing the two front seats, looks nice. One question though. Did you invert the negative and positive leads on the two subs inside the car? Or invert the phase on the amp? Reason being, with two facing inward, and two facing outward, if they are all wired identically, two will be firing inward while the other two fire outwards and canceling out most of the sound pressure. Overall looks nice though. You gonna carpet, vinyl, or paint it since it shows through inside the vehicle?

They will all be in the cabin. That's the previous trunk box/setup

WinISD plots an equivalent graph nearly all around between:

4 15s @ 35hz with 15 cubes

and

4 15s sealed at 8 cubs (2 cubes each). Much better response time as well

I can very easily gain a bit of loudness from the trunk (like I would from a port) and build 2 or 4 uber easy boxes for the trunk. The large 'wall' box doesnt seem to give me a lot of leadway with its lmited size when looking at the numbers. I simply don't seem to be gaining anything.

I cant believe I'm seeing the lacking curves on the graph, would I be better of sealing them in the trunk with 2 cubes each (not enough area in 2 cubes to port) . The only real complaints are the overall lack of amplified lows due to limited space with either box setup

I love WinISD, kinda upset though that the only kicker speakers it has in the list are L5 and L7 and SoloX. No round ones //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
