First, you want clearance for the port at least the width (height in this case) free.
I can try to put the port on top if you would like, it will be a much more complex build to get the tuning you want though.

I have a jeep cherokee and I have tried every different type of box and firing every way. Port up subs up and port back subs up were about the same. The benefit I saw with both up is there was less noise from my back tail gate.

To lay them out I use the formulas that are in the sticky for port length (actuall there are a couple that I use) and then crunch the number in an excel sheet I made.rpfuror, what program do you use for these designs???
