4 12's help

I called RE today to get in on that group buy. Now I am stuck. They told me it makes more sense to get 4 12's instead of 4 10's. Now if I am running on a PPI that says it runs 1000x1 watts at 2 ohm. Since I will have 4, on parrallel, what will that make my total ohm load?? Will the setup be sufficient enough or will I be putting out to much watts to the 4. What should I do the 4 10s of 4 12's??

if it's the re10s and re12s they are dual-4ohm voice coils. wiring them in series/parallel will give you a 2ohm final impedence. i would get the quad 12 setup if i had the room. and if you ever find yourself overpowering any speakers you can turn your gains down.
