4 - 12" + 1200.1 = Power cap?

power cap is worthless. get a bigger alternator, better battery and larger guage power cables all the way around. Trust me, if you plan on having a system in this car for the rest of the time you own it, it'll be the best investment you'll ever make.

the cap should do it. i dont know why people diss the caps. they just dont know what they are talking about. my lights dimmed, they told me the same thing. i put the cap and all my problems went a way. i think u will need one even at 4ohm mono

caps many times put MORE strain on your batter and alternator, and charging up the caps take out more energy than it does w/o one...

Caps help your headlights.. they don't help the amp...

100% worthless for anything related directly to increasing performance from your amplifier.. Unless you're taking about 50 farads and more.. than there's a minimal difference..

take that same money you'd be wasting on your cap.. and do exactly what Loneranger said.

That is complete ********........caps help amps keep a steady flow of 14 volts that your amplifier needs when it needs it. I added one and it made my bass more accurate and alot tighter.

Man, I'm so sick of this ****...

If you've got a cap, use it... if you don't, then get something else...

if you want your install to look good, then go ahead and blow money on it...

I bought my cap about 5~6 years ago, when EVERYBODY said caps were good..does it help? I don't know, I don't even run over 400watts...

But I'm willing to bet my whole system that an upgraded alternator will do your system a world of good...

and caps...aren't they alright, if your charging system is adequate?

How about VOltage Regulators? Preety much the same or very different?

Oh ****, I hope I didn't fire up anymroe cap talk..just wanted to know... I know my brax 1F cap don't do much for me anyway...

So that's the secret to keeping a constant 14.4 at the distro block......i'm sure glad i know now! And to think.....i wasted all that money on deepcycle batteries, HO alternator and heavy wire for nothing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Loyd, you should be ashamed of yourself for being so stupid :p

Hey, you were being sarcastic weren't you? That hurts my feelings. Whatever you say genius.

All I can say is a capacitor worked for me. They don't work in all situations, I know that. But in my opinion its wrong for any one person to say they work for NO ONE. That is not only wrong but a stupid thing to claim. So if there is anyone who hates to argue this point I would suggest staying off this thread. Otherwise it will be argued with no clear solution til the cows come home.

hmm..

spend $60-$150 on something that "could maybe possibly if you're lucky" work (cap)..

or

spend $60-$150 on something that WILL make a difference (wire upgrades, etc)

Gambling is for Las Vegas people.. but its not my money.. so have fun //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

hmmm.....

Buy something that I know worked for me in the past

or rip my alternator out of my car and go without my car until the alt is rewound when I could have left my car in the stock condition and not risk anything else.

Las Vegas is for gambling. Not with my money. So have fun.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I would put the full range to ch.3&4, and low pass on ch.5&6. The 6.1200 line out should be full range unless it has a dedicated x-over. In that...

It should be fine as long as you're not looking to upgrade in the future.

Its not a huge upgrade and I'd argue you likely couldn't tell the difference.
