4,000+ amps for Daily Driver ???????

I am using an XXV Maxximus for daily and it is freakin sweet. It delivers the power for hours. The soundstream is not good for daily, it is meant for 16v systems since it draws alot of power.

The MA also draws alot so I dont recommend that for daily.

If you use DD get this years 12v versions as the regular DDz1A is really meant for 16v but does do good on 12v, the 12v is just more efiecient on a daily system.

The Sampson is a good amp but really likes 16v systems. I would stick with Goliaths or a Maxximus.
Thanks for your input. I would love to run one of those XXV Maximus amps. That would solve all my power issues. Imagine running one on each sub //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif.

Since you run one of them in your daily setup how many batteries are you running for the amp? @ what voltage are you the running the amp? How much heat does that amp give off? After an hour or two of hard hitting bass does the amp strain or does it keep the watts flowing strong?

I am using 4 Kinetik 2400s 12v. car on voltage id about 14.9 and at full tilt it drops to 13.9. The amp runs just as warm as any other amp I have run. It runs cooler than my Crunch GP3000D pro in my brothers truck.

I demo the car as well and even after 6 hours of playing there is no more strain then in the first minute of play.

One word of warning, This amp weighs about 70 lbs, so be careful if weight is an issue.

I am by no means a big dog in the car audio game, but I do run a lot of watts daily.
Anyway, if you have $2500 to spend on amps, I would buy 6 AudioQue 2200s and strap those bishes. 13,000+ watts for under $2500 new is a hell of a deal.
All bull**** aside I'm looking to spend $1600-$1700 maybe even less if I can get a deal some place. If I needed to spend $2500 I would sacrifice and save every penny if I had to just to put the right stuff in my car. Dam six audioque amps yhats alot of amps

i would keep it simple... don't go beyond 2 amps. when you get into 4, 8, etc ammount of amps its such a pain to keep everyhting matched.
with that kind of budget you could get a pair of z1a's used... which i would definately do.
Yeah I only want to run 1 or 2 good amps at the most 4.

also, w/ that much power daily... do you have a budget set aside for your electrical?
This project isn't going to be done over night. I am putting aside some cash for the BIG 3. I am also thinking of doing 2 altenators and a lot of batteries. I saw this little device on jegs.com called the accuvolt I might try that. I wonder if any ones use this? The info makes it seem like an ideal piece of equipment.

Wow 6 hours of play and no problem with over heating Thats what I call tough.

I have no problem with a 70lb amp. A lighter one would be nice though. I was planning to use these powe rmaster 12vot racing batteries and or this

those power masters are great batteries but i wouldn't get that accuvolt. when you get your alternator ordered buy an external voltage regulator, its the same exact thing except its MEANT for car audio and has a knob that goes in the car you can adjust to get your voltage where you want it.

Thanks for the advice bro. Which of those amps are your top pick?
All are very strong amplifiers.

I have personal experience with the Memphis 4kw's as well as the original XX Goliath.

My pick would probably be the XXV Goliath for daily... but just barely. The DD z1a and the Memphis 4kw are still VERY strong amplifiers.

And as stated, you'll want to plan out your electrical equally as well. I would recommend trying two HO Alternators, and at a minimum 4 D31 sized batteries in the rear. Personally, I would go with 6 batteries. I highly recommend the Powermaster D3100s... you could contact them directly for cheaper pricing.
