Mr. Beat's
I am in search of a quality amp that can power a DD Z sub. I am not sure what

size I will recone these subs to but for argument sake lets say two 18's. I know

Alan Dante broke the world record with these subs powered by I believe four 7kd

Stemson amps. Cutos to him for putting up 180+ db's:clap://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/applause.gif.bb805d8088f72dbc2fe808c29e85fb4c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/celebrate.gif.82eef51c49c9919296cb60fd0d148863.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/goldcup.gif.fed6f294523aaacf5ee40f0193e776f8.gif. Well as for me I'm not

out to set any world records if I do then so be it but this setup is a daily ground

pounder not a dedicated Spl car. I might do a couple local bass race comp as

well as some street bass comp but thats about as far as I plan to go. A lot of

people say 20,000 watts for a daily driver is insane, stupid and a waste of money

Then in the same breath they hang all over Steve meades nuts. I wanted the

opinions of some big dawgs like Louisiana CRX, RyanM923,Sean Dub,Team H&K

StreetdreamsCC as well as any other members who has used or currently using

amps pushing 4,000' watts or more. I don't want to go real cheap (I mean the

amps quality not price)because that would be an injustice to these killer subs. I

am not sure if I should do dual 2ohms or dual 1ohm subs. My question to you all

is what amp or amps would push out sufficent power to these subs and not

get super hott and also staying with in my budget of $2,500 maybe a smigen

more? Thanks for any good advice and positive comments.

Here are a list of amps I like

Two of these

Digital Designs Z1a

I am by no means a big dog in the car audio game, but I do run a lot of watts daily.

Anyway, if you have $2500 to spend on amps, I would buy 6 AudioQue 2200s and strap those bishes. 13,000+ watts for under $2500 new is a hell of a deal.

i would keep it simple... don't go beyond 2 amps. when you get into 4, 8, etc ammount of amps its such a pain to keep everyhting matched.

with that kind of budget you could get a pair of z1a's used... which i would definately do.

I havent ever ran any where near that amount of power..but you could get 4 Audioque 3500d's for ~$2700 shipped to your door. That's 14000+ watts or 20,000+ with 18volts. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif No matter how you justify it, that's alot of power for a daily driver. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif From the amps you're posting it looks like you dont want to run that much power, so 4 AQ2200d's would give you ~ 9000 watts for ~$1500. Basically with a little more than $2500 budget, you can have 15000watts, but do you NEED 15000 watts? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I am using an XXV Maxximus for daily and it is freakin sweet. It delivers the power for hours.

The soundstream is not good for daily, it is meant for 16v systems since it draws alot of power.

The MA also draws alot so I dont recommend that for daily.

If you use DD get this years 12v versions as the regular DDz1A is really meant for 16v but does do good on 12v, the 12v is just more efiecient on a daily system.

The Sampson is a good amp but really likes 16v systems. I would stick with Goliaths or a Maxximus.

40.1 if you can find some... If not got with some RD Audio 7250.1's or maybe some DD z1a
I thought about This amp also. i saw one 4sale in the classified on this forum but it doesn't work:( but It would be a good investment for only $400.
