4.0 cu. ft. box suggestions

OK I'm building a slot ported 4 cu/ft box for my TC-1000. I have it in a sealed box now and it doesn't have the low end that I thought it would.

So. What is ideal for the thickness and bracing? Double thick walls and bracing, just double thick baffle and bracing? No bracing and 1.5" walls?

Thanks

I'm using .75" MDF btw.

what do you want louder, or just lower?
I want the lower to be louder //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

The sealed box gets down to 25 hz, but it's pretty weak.

I want to give a boost to the low end, ie. 25-35 hz. and I think a low tuned ported box would work great for that.

just use 3/4" or 1" MDF and it'll be ok and i'd stick with the 3^3 recommended size
With bracing though, correct?

you don't need any bracing for that sub, i had my 15" XXX in 4.0 box with no bracing, just a double front baffle and that sub weighs twice what tc-1000 does and handles about 4 times the power, so you certainly don't need to worry about flex or anything.
