It's actually more likely to hold true at lower levels. As you get closer to the sub's limits, doubling power isn't going to do much since you'll be experiencing power compression and reaching the thermal/physical limits of the speakers.ok as i've read many times+3db's is roughly equal to doubling your power...
but thats only true once you hit like 130+ or even higher right...?

Way to miss the point of the thread.If I give a Kicker Cvr 1500watts I will not see a 3db increase by giving it 3000watts. I willl see a cracked cone and probably some smoke though.
