Some SPL amps run on 16 volts (and ultimately do more power). Other amps (such as the orion 2500d) can be modded to handle the higher voltage.

series 2 for 16 volts, then wire as many series pairs together for more capacity...

you would need to run them as a seperate electrical system with a special alt

It would have to be a separate alternator as to not fry the rest of your electrical system.

Any custom alternator maker (iraggi, excessive amperage, etc.) can make an alt with an external regulator that can boost the voltage.

But i would not recommend running more than 15.5 to a stock electrical system because you will run the risk of frying EVERY electrical piece in your car.
