yea man.. its gonna take me a little while to build mine , they cost too dam much. But just take your time and do it right. And it will be worth it in the long run.
thats the plan. thats y i got an extra motor so i dont feel the need to rush it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

i got the engine completely torn down today....almost. and got my headlights in.

i cant get the lifters or cam out and idk how to. besides that shes ready!! air tools ftmfw!

your 'cheapest' way around it is to just build a 355 now. You have the rods, crank, and internally balanced stuff now. If you do a 383, you need a new flywheel and dampner too...

if funds are low, a good 350-400hp 355 always does good as well. Spend money now on good heads and fuel delivery, and machining. That's where your money will come into play.

hey where r u at in cincy. i am about to go to school there
I'm at the University of Cincinnati...live here in Clifton.

I'm originally from Reading, about 15minutes NE of Cincinnati.

If you need any help, I've tore down two 350's all the way to the block. Just did what I was told though... lol.

I was a tool bitch during the buildup of this 355 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif...

Started out high-compression running 104octane, then tore it down and rebuilt it into this...

cant get the lifters or cam out. gotta see what to do about that tomorrow
sometimes lifters need to be pulled out with a slap hammer of sorts,or pryed out from the underside, once they are up high enough the cam will slide right out then you can flip the block and push out the lifters from the underside

you could leave them in there the machinest ,no biggie.....

heres a good place for rebuild kits

http://www.northernautoparts.com/ProductDetail.cfm?ProductId=148

they have good basic kits, from mild to more wild, talk to your machinist first

or go to the local speed shop - they have deals as well.....

thats my problem so far, i cant really find a machine shop around me so far. I live in indy so id hope i find one here
Indy has some of best machine shops in the whole country

and quite a few of them......Indy is the racing capital of the USA

and also where I had my engine built
