358 vs. 383

Which will she become? im callin machine shops around me to find out who can help, but i need to decide first.

It sits as a 5.7 L V8, 350.

I have to decide if i want it changed to a 358 which is much cheaper and easier for me or a 383 which will give me around 420 hp.

383. I had 1 rebuilt allready that had like 400 hp and i sold it and a rebuilt trans together for $500.

I hear ya. I'm in a similar boat. I have a 350 block that I was planning on rebuilding for my truck. I wasn't going to go nuts on it, but just a few upgrades. I've yet to pull the heads off yet and determine what needs to be done. Then I ran into this LINK

which I can get for a little cheaper than that. (Canadian) He thinks it has about 425hp, but I dunno about that. It would be cheaper to buy his engine, which I'm still debating on.
