dual .7 turned out to be more like .9-1 for me

depends on the sub, my dual 1 I have now is a true dual 1 but my old dual 1 was actually dual .8 and my dual 4 is actually dual 4.2

gonna hold off till i decide what sub im gonna go with. Right now though the 20.1 and to 100.1 look like nice amps.

Is that DC resistance measured with an ohm meter, or did you measure and calculate impedance at a range of frequencies?

Never seen impedance less than DC resistance myself, and my dual 2 ohm MT's actually measure 1.2 ohms impedance (not DC resistance) with all 4 coils in parallel. DC resistance is .4 ohms. . .

lost me there. Im not a electrical engineer or anything LOL. I used a regular dmm and measured the the ohm impendance.

Anyways I am getting a 18" MT so I guess I need to start looking for an amp, and getting the money.

Just get 2 amps that are stable @ .7 or that can be strapped, then run them @ 1.4 (.7 each)

A IA 40.1, 20.1, Cactus 4kW or 5kW would work on that sub rather well.

$650 ea is too rich for my blood. If I had money like that I would be on the preorder on Dante's site for the warlords. Might go with a 100.1 but I have to see if i get my money on tuesday.

can anyone say for a fact the AB 100.1 and IA 20.1 will run .35 without dying or going into protect? I would hate to dish out $300-$450 for an amp that becomes a statue after i run it.

it's a fact the 20.1 is stable at .35. iirc in the 2500d/20.1/kx2500.1 thread typerbass did, he had it wired at .35 or .5 but rise was over 1 or 2 ohms.
