300zx setup

keep changing my mind on what i want to do ...

I think im pretty set on 2 10's (sealed because of space) with around 1 cuft a piece.

Unless, someone can convince me to do a single 12 with bigger sealed box.

My previous setup had a 12inch JBL GTI running off a GTO 1201.1 amp.

I want this system to be louder than that, but keeping some of the SQ.

What 10 inch subs can you recommend for my specific set up out of the brands with price not being a factor

I have heard DD audio two 10in 1500s sub in a sealed 2cubic ft box with about 1500w rms

Man did they beat. Loudest 10's Iv ever heard! SQ was amazing!!!

oh man, a good friend of mine has a 300 that he just wrecked, you on zclub?

i've seen some sweet setups, we had some great ideas for his until he wrecked it, so those will be put off until his restore.

what did you have in mind fo setup?

Seeing this post brings a tear to my eye. I was running a single 12" Diamond D6 in a slotted box in my 300zx and it sounded amazing! Unfortunately it was broken into and almost everything was taken. Then a few weeks later the car was stolen.

What year is the Z? Mine was an 1987, and 2 10" subs just didn't look right back there which is why I went with the single 12". If it's 1990 or newer I think there is a little more room in back and I'd say going with two 10" subs is a great idea.

I was very happy with Diamond, and out of the ones you listed I'd say go with that. Either the D6 or the Hex.

Actually my 300zx should be arriving tom or friday. I had my modded g20, but got hit by an h3. So, i found a 1990 300zx 2+2 104000miles for a great price in FL. Always been a fan of z's but didn't wanna buy one that had been in the midwest because of rust etc.

first thing i'm going to do are kyb struts/shocks with eibach springs then Audio of course!!

I will look at those DD's 10's, but i really would like to say with the companies i post because of the ridiculous prices i get are worth it.

Not suree of the exact build i want to do, but i like inverting subs (looked great with my JBLGTI).

How about single 12 Alpine X with like 1.3cuft sealed. Is that a good idea? Is that gona be loud enough. I know this is a hatch so everyythings gona be louder but what you guys think.

If you guys have any build ideas, i definitely be interested to here them.

I think 2 10's would be great in a 300zx. We did 1 Solo-Baric 10 (old school) in my buddies 91' 300ZX TT and it was pretty loud. Very accurate to.

I'd go with a single diamond d6 or hex 12" like djwaffles recommended. Let's put it this way, I heard a single diamond d3 12" in a ported box, 2 cubic feet, maybe a little more and it sounded amazing. It got loud and the sound quality was great. Or u could go with 2 diamond d6 10"s that'd sound great as well.
