I'm in the same debate.. I think I am going to get the D2's.. I have heard A Lot of Good about these puppies..!

Flip a coin any of the three will give you amazing performance. I would rule out Adire for a little bit here until they get their act together with some glue problems, especially since a coin only has two sides //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif . I would personally go D2. It can handle 1000 watts easily.

350-600 .... why wouldnt they write 1k then? i dotn doubt they get loud, but where do you get this info? maybe your pushing them with a legacy 1k amp? i just dont think id buy soemthign this expensive and then go overpower it and have it blow up. if i was gonna spend my money id make SURE i wouldnt blow anyhting up.

you are OBVIOUSLY not very knowledgeable AT ALL on the magnum d2's. :thumbsdow ALSO, NOWHERE does it say anything about 350watts...where the hell did you get that number from...ur ***?! On the web site, nick's (the owner's) very conservative power rating is 600watts rms. It's just that they don't NEED thousands of watts to get them to perform well...but they can take A LOT of power. Most of the people i know running magnums are running near 1000 watts RMS or even more. When my install is complete i'll have an avionixx 1200.2 on each of my magnums...and I AM SURE they'll take it. A magnums voice coil CAN take like 3000watts rms for a burp...hell nick told me he hooked one up out of the box to a wall socket a few times! just don't be ignorant next time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif and make sure ya know what ur talking about. peace

What would you say the ration between SPL & SQ are on a D2 in 2ft^3 tuned to 35 with about 700wts..?

Take this into consideration, the coil is 3" in dia., 2.3" long and aluminum.......

arent the ED A's 1100RMS and 300 bucks, this seems the most fitting. D2s only rate at 350-600rms

The D2 ratings are extremely low. Many people are running over 1000watts to them

To give you an idea on how big (physically) the coil is, the voice coil on a Magnum can fit over a Coke can, a Snapple bottle, a Pringles can, and a 20 oz Gatorade bottle. So you guys think that the D2 would be a superior sub to the XXX or an Adire Audio Brahma? If so it is definately the way to go since the Brahma is 380 shipped and the RE XXX is 370ish+shipping. However if the Brahma and RE XXX are better subs i think the extra 80-100 would be worth it....If they are equal or are close enough to not be worth the extra money i will go with the D2

Go with the D2 It just sounds so incredibly musical and natural, and plays ##$$%^loud when necessary.

Funny, how you keep posting that 350 watt figure. Where on earth are you getting that at? Just curious, as there have been so many posts on this subject with 99% of the people who own them, are giving them twice that figure. I understand this is your justification for pushing the A's. No flames please, just curious.
