3000DB too much for CVR's???

Do you guys think that a Power Acoustik A3000DB would be too much power for 3 10" Comp VR's, the 2 ohm version??? Or do you think I should go with the 2400DB.

I hooked one of my 1000/1s on my boys 2 12" CVRs....gains at 1/2 way I thought they were going to explode lol.

i ran my 2 12" cvr's off a 3000db at 2ohm, no problems.

Iight thanks for the responses but I think im gonna go with a A2100D. Im thining that I dont have enough self control not to turn up the gain. And I dont have the $$$ to be buyin new subs. Thanks again

yeah i run mine on half of my 4 channel and i still get full excursion and output, theres no need to overdo it wth CVR's

i hate when folks say stuff like this... saying that your gains were only half way up doesn't mean anything without knowing the range of input voltages the amp accepts and the voltage of the input signal itself.

so if the range is 0-8v, then the gain is set to 4v. with a 2v signal the amp is likely putting out half of full power (or as close as it can get due to electrical limitations.)

if the range is 0-4v, then gain is at 2v. With a 4v signal obviously there's quite a bit of clipping going on, and the amp is likely doing much more power than its rated for.

please refrain from saying such things in the future without points of reference, because without them your comment is meaningless.
