30000k HID kit... seckz?

Sign up on a dedicated HID forum. I've had many late sleepless nights just going through people's retrofits and different projector dimensions.

There's a lot of stuff going on inside headlights. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Getting HID's and putting them in stock housing without retrofitting is like buying two 12 inch BTL's and putting them in a prefab best buy box and running them on a Boss Amp... Everyone on this forum would laugh at you with that setup, and everyone on HID forums would laugh at a post like this... I'm not trying to dump on you or anything, I love your RL-P's, but this is the truth, don't get HID's above 6k's because above that you don't even get very usable light output and in proper projectors you'll still get more than enough blue tint along with awesome light output, without blinding oncoming traffic, and probably a "fix-it" ticket within a week of driving like that. 30K's won't even give you any sort of light output, and will probably be burning in the UV range, not even visible light... you'll piss off all of the bees out for a late night romp, and bother all of the oncoming traffic but you won't be able to see shit on the road...

Don't go higher than 6K... MAYBE 8K, and retrofit projectors... otherwise just go to autozone and buy some higher output halogen's, not sayign that in a bad way, unless you have the money and the time to have a safe/clean HID set you're best bet, and safest bet is to just get better halogens for now.. That's what I'm doing for now until I can afford some 6K's and materials for a retrofit

^Took the words out of my mouth. Totally true.

I'll post up my favorite projectors just for fun.

1. LS430. Pretty much the mack daddy of projectors. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/drool.gif.b5e863e893038027711d4402f340dad0.gif

2. FX35 with a clear lens swap (either TSX or another)

3. S2000. 'Nuff said.

4. TL. I dig the TL's cause they have 3" lens.

5. Q45. Just cause they're straight up sick looking.

ALL (and i repeat ALL) factory hid's are 4300k for a reason. higher k does NOT equal brighter. actually the higher you go up, the less useable light output. but i hate you and hope you die.. so go ahead.
