On a related note..I was looking into these for my 03" Civic EX. Is it just a matter of sliding the new bulb into the stock housings after you mount the boxes? How illegal is this?
And what are these?

those are just halogen bulbs. basically fake HIDs..

real HID bulbs can cost from 80-200 bucks for a pair.

if you going to go with an HID kit, look for a Ballast + Bulb kit. you can find the proper bulb fitment that will slip into the stock bulb housing for your car, but IMHO you should retrofit projectors instead of just throwing on some HIDs. all that glare that people have when they just throw HIDs into their stock lights w/o projectors looks like utter shit. no light control and so much glare it blinds people. really annoying imo.

Btw, it will vary by manufacterer on what each K rating will actually look like. Not all tolerances are the same from all manufacturers.
