300+ rms components? I want treble, and ALOT of it

Well I really dont care if I use the full 300rms to a set of drivers, as I probly would never even touch the higher volumes, Im just looking for something with alot more treble, plain and simple more volume
I only paid $70 for the cadence set, Id probably like to spend under $150, 200 tops

I also realized that since I already have these cadence comps, I can probably re-use the crossovers aswell as the tweeters...... and just buy 6.5's... or would they not be able to take the power..
well, the pro60's are out of your budget unfortunately.

i know many people have said mb quarts have almost exaggerated highs. you might like them.

What about two sets of the Pioneer Premier TS-D720C. They go for $119/set and were given a GREAT review by CA&E.
you have to take CA&E reviews with a big grain of salt.

just search for their review on the Stereo Integrity Magnum. a 900w rms driver, that was only given 300wrms a had a full review written about it. yet the rockford, kicker, and pioneer subs get rms power, and at time get even more than that to show true potential.

money talks.

that doesnt mean the speakers arent good, im just putting it out there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

rms 300w but sensitivity 86 ? so cant see any point there

just bought Infinity Kappa 16cm (6.0/6.5"") 60.7cs component speakers and can tell you, they play really loud and clear/nice sound

sensitivity: 95 dB

power range: 2-90 watts RMS

and theyr dam cheap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

what set is 86db?

what set is 86db?
A sensitivity rating tells you how effectively a speaker converts power (watts) into volume (decibels). The higher the rating, the louder your speakers will play with a given amount of amplifier power. Sensitivity is often measured by driving a speaker with one watt and measuring the loudness in decibels at one meter.

The chart below illustrates that a few dB in sensitivity can make a big difference:

Speaker Sensitivity

rating Power needed

to produce a given volume

Speaker A 85 dB 100 watts

Speaker B 88 dB 50 watts

Speaker C 91 dB 25 watts

A speaker with a sensitivity rating that's 3 dB higher than another speaker's

only needs half as much power to deliver the same amount of sound.

???

i wasnt asking what a sensitivity rating is...i was asking which speakers are 86db

I understand CA&E isn't the die hard always-right answer, but they seem to know a good bit more than I do, and all of their specs on these comps are spot-on with Pioneer's.

I think he was asking WHICH set was 86db... not an explanation of what sensitivity is ... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

it doesn't matter? so why mention it?

hmm, cant see any point to buy 300w rms and 89 db sensitivity speakers when t the same time some less w speakers will play much louder
sry i mentioned smtg bout loud compos here ...
ok...so which ones should he stay away from? did someone mention comps that were 86db?

i mentioned my boston pro 60's, and despite their 90db sensitivity, and 125w rms rating, still need every bit of my 300w per channel amp.

Just get 2 sets of Diamond audio D6 comps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I have 2 sets and they are getting about 375-400RMS per set //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
