300$ Comps in a Daily Driver?

Just wondering if it is worth it to buy a 300$ set of comps for a daily driver, I like my stuff to sound super clean.

The ones I was looking at were the Focal 165VB's, HAT Imagines and Morel Tempo's

It is highly unlikely that I'll ever enter my truck in competition, so this is strictly for daily use.

I dont see why not. I would probably spring for a cheaper set ~$150 or so and spend the remainder on deadener and closed cell foam.

I'll be deadening and sealing regardless of what I buy, so this is mainly only about the speakers themselves.

I'm sorry but your front speakers are the most important things to spend money on. I have $300 into my tweeters alone

I do agree, but I don't have as much money into my system as you might think, through trading I've got great equipment for much less than it's worth, for example I've only got about 180$ into the sub.

imagines will do well with your current sig system. I really recommend amping them though

My daily driver car is where I listen most music, so to me its absolutely worth it to buy a set of components like that. In fact, I am trying to decide between these sets as well:

HAT Imagine (price right on, great reviews, easily bi-ampable)

JL Audio C5-570 (5x7 woofer, expensivish, reportedly on the same level with HATs)

Focal Polyglass V30 (allegedly better than JLs and Imagines, but too expensive, will not buy unless there is some kind of fire sale)

I am leaning towards getting HATs because if I bi-amp them I can take them to even higher level of performance with the right tuning (time align and level match).

I love my maximo's for daily driving. I listen too them for at least 2 hours per day and they are awesome. If I was to buy something else , i would probably step up to the hat imagines or clarus .
