my maverick has the factory motor with a cam swap, stiffer valve springs, performer intake and holley carb. I tweaked the ****** a little and have run different rear ends, but nothing extreme....I run low 8's in the 1/8

Cool, I ran a 9.2 stock.

The impala now has 2800 stall, ported heads and intake, 58mm TB, GM846 cam on its way, 4.10 gears, built 4l60e to hold 550hp and a 175 wet shot.

ok sorry theyre $3800 each NOT including tires....its impossible to get them for that much, dealers get say 20% off that, and if you own a shop you can get them as "demo rims" for your shop ride for a bit cheaper then that...but nowhere near $1350 incuding tires.

a factory ss will run 14's

on a good day lol. More like low 15... the mid 14 guys are really lucky.

but track times aren't that important to me, I just want a set up with alot of TQ to burn out my big 22's with ease.. I will run it on drag radials at the track for fun.

the spray is one thing i will not be adding....however i am with you on loving the torque

I stuck with the original C4 3sp auto, but replaced the bands with hd bands to keep from breaking them

is 58mm large enough for that much motor and spray?(i know nothing about the spray)

lol they don't know that, they think the bigger the wheel is the more it must cost, which explains alot of the posts in here. I doubt they even know what goes getting 3 piece wheels. But they will be quick to google the sheit and say they do..
