30" Rims!! Too Much?

Sure it was. Hummer's claim to fame is the off-road capability. Hell, the H3 is great off road. But like every other SUV, the intentions were ruined by retarded rappers and too-rich soccer moms. Kind of like the stay-at-home mother of 2 you see cruising down the interstate in a **** Excursion.
Granted, after the on-road popularity of the H2, I guarantee the off-road wasn't AS big of a priority on the H3

It has off road capabilites just like every other SUV or 4wd, but i highly doubt they intended to market it or even created it for off road use. Rather its for the soccor moms( hence the 6seats), and others whom want a large vehicle or need it (hence the tax deduction). They wouldnt have glammed it up, made it all super shiny, with chrome, dvd packages etc. if it were ment for off road.

But the rims are rediculous ..... in a bad way. The gas milage already blows on this thing, now add all that extra weight right at the crank.

Off-road use wasn't the only thing in mind, no. But a quick look at the Hummer website shows that the rugged image is still very important to the brand. They definitely softened it some to make it appeal to more people, but I don't think they were trying for soccer moms as hard as most other SUVs were. At least when they first came out.

all that off road crap is to make it seem super versitile and worth the price tag. Just like rang rover, or mercedes they even say it in their commercial, "we know your never going to need off road capabilites or do this and that, but its there anyways....so buy it"

Isn't the H2 based on the same platform as the Escalade? Isn't that an oversized soccer mom transporation vehicle...? =/ sucks but its true. Stick to the real deal H1 if you wanna off-road.
