what are the advantages and disadvantages of having an enclosure tuned to 30hz instead of 38hz, wat would u go by to decide which enclosure to get?

30 hz. more sq, 38 hz. more spl. when deciding you have to choose wether you want more spl but not so much sq, or sq and not as much spl. it depends on what music you listen to, subwoofer, etc. to decide what tuning

could be. what sub do you have? i listened to my subs at 39 hz. daily but i personally would tune lower, like around 33-35 hz. for a daily driver.

I had a ported Hx2 @ 32hz. Back when I listened to mostly rap. It sounded great

well the subs im going to get are 05 type r's

the reason im only saying 30 or 38hz is because those are the only 2 tuning frequencys that subzone enclosures come in that i saw.

I have my atlas tuned to 32hz and it gets plenty loud! and you should have a box built for you rather than buy a prefab .. "prefab is ok for sealed enclosures".but not so much for ported.

Definately have one made pre fab ported boxes ****. The shop I bought my L7 from sold me one and it blew a couple subs before I realized it was the box. I finally paid a shop to do one for me but this time I would pay someone for the plans and build it myself
