I'm getting completely new system in my stang 96.

My speakers are factory speakers and they crappy i get none of the highs.

So i decided to go with Pioneer TS-6871R 3-way speakers. Should i install all 4 of them?

or should i replace the front speakers with 4-way instead (Pioneer TS-6881R 4-way)

Neither of hose are really 3 or 4-way. They are coaxs with no filtering network dividing up the frequencies between the "drivers." Your best option is to find a set of 2-way coax speakers (a mid and a single tweet mounted together) and use those. Better quality and better sound. The Pioneer Rev series come highly recommended.

thanx man.

but i think it says:

1 -5/8" polyester fiber semi-dome midrange and 5/8" polyester dome tweeter

frequency response: 30-28,000 Hz

is that good enough?

Alright .

Thanks for the advice.

Actually these run around $40 and thats my budget limit u know.

and actually they got good reviews. Pioneers 2-way are actually cheaper.

i'll look into 2-way revs too.

My only problems is that when i listen to my Ipod - i get all the highs and i really enjoy them and when i wanna listen to sam highs in the car i hear nothing.

But if you had a proper 3-way set up and a proper 4-way set-up, is their that big of a difference?
When I hear "3-way", I think dedicated tweeter, midrange, and midbass drivers.

I don't know what your expectations are, but for $40 I'm hoping not too high...

u have those 4-ways?

which ones? TS-A6871R or TS-A6881R coz first one is 3-way only, second one is 4-way.

i mean both of them good really good reviews but im thinkin shud i spend extra $10 on 4-way and put it in the front doors and put the 3-way at the back?

Your not going to notice much...

Heck if you want to waste $20 more to get a POS coax, why not spend an extra $40 ontop of that and buy a Set of Pioneer Revs, TS-D "D-Series"

Completely different Speaker...

well im driving mustang now---in a year planning buying new car so might roll with the TS series just to get some decent sound.

i mean after anything will be better thant what i have right now--factory speakers.
