ok heres the deal i want to know if i can run 3 amps off of my subwoofer pre-out. i will have 2 viper 1200.1's and one older pioneer amp i had laying around. also since i want to run one viper per sub do i have to wire them as two seperate amps or can i just strap em? if i can strap em then all i need is a 2 way splitter for the sub pre-out right?

i think its pretty ****ing clear dickweed---i want to run 3 amps off of one pre-out --- two of the amps are strappable, one is not--do i just need to strap the two amps together and use a splitter for the 3rd amp?or do the two vipers need to be ran independantly?is that clear enuff?

first off dont be an a$$ back it gets annoying.

second off the answer to your question: you can just split the signal with Y adapters but this is the shoddy solution that you would find in the back of bubba's bronco. You cannot stap the vipers together to run two seperate subs unless you want to wire those bad boys together to a differen ohm load so make that call first. So those amps have RCA outs on them? If so go input to amp1, output on amp1 to input amp2, output on amp 2 to input amp3...in other words daisy chain them. if this option isnt avaliable to you then I would suggest some component with a line driver in it maybe just a 7V line driver then y adapters or maybe an EQ with line drivers, your call.

Now you can use Y adapters technically speaking but will you want to that is the question? Since this HU only has one preout I can bet you that it is a 2V max preout and RMS is going to be much lower than that on it so do you want to cut the 1V or less you are going to be getting out of your HU into thirds? If it were my install for my truck I wouldnt do it. I might might cut it into two. But I guess you can always try a couple y adapters for kicks cant you?

There is a slot(cat5?) to strap the amps together.

1 is the master, the other is the slave. Together, it will be at a 2ohm load. Why would you strap them?, you got me. I'd do 1 amp per sub. Same wattage either way.

Use the line out RCAs to goto the other amp.

This guy obviousely does not have the knowledge to do things properly. DO NOT strap the amps together unless you are 100% totally familiar with how to do it and the load presented to the amp is within the design parameters of the amps when strapped. If you are not familiar with this, then take it to someone that is. I would not recommend using 3 different amps on one sub out at all. I would recommend the 2 like amplifiers but leave the odd man out. Are all the subs the same, what about the boxes.... What is the vehicle, can the alternator power everything.... too many questions and issues. Go into a specialty shop and ask your questions to someone who can see what you have and give you ideas on it. Learn from them instead of trying to learn from others that may be just like you.

ok then lets try this ---car is 1981 cutlass supreme w 231 v-6....i have 200 amp ohio generator alternator. i have 2 12" swiss audio subs(dvc4) 700w rms each in a ported box 3.5cf@35hz. i am putting a jl audio 6w0 up on the front stage. each 12 will have it's own viper 700wrms@2 ohms. the jl will have a pioneer gm-x252(100wx1@4 ohms) all of these should be controlled by the sub-out. i have 0 gauge big 3 and 0 ga. to distro in the trunk. how can i wire these three amps?
