Wiring my new sub and amp

I have a 4 ohm 12" mtx sub and a Macron 350w two channel amp. I have now for two nights tried to wire it up and today I got at last some respons from the sub.. but after a couple of seconds there was no sound again. The amp is still running though. Do anybody have any tip about how to get info about this problem? I would also gladely recieve a map of the wiring.. Daggi

also wut ohm load is the amp?
