No, you will end up with uneven power to the subs.

Yes, as electricity will follow the path of least resistance, but it is still possible to wire it as such.

That being said, I'd try to snag a ZX2500.1, wire to 2.66 Ohms (all subs wired to 8 ohms and wired in parallel to each other), and enjoy.

Possible but not wise in an audio setup.

Uneven power to subs in a common system can yield unwanted acoustical responses, such as phasing issues and wave misalignment, uneven loading on sub cones, unstable tuning frequency, overheat, premature failure, feedback, and just plain sloppy sound.

But it is possible.

Yes, exactly. Not ideal what so ever, and now that we've brought that to the OP's attention, the subs should be rewired for even loads and a capable amp should be integrated in to the system.

I for one vote to have all coils paralleled as series wiring can create more heat.

When all coils are paralleled you will have a .6666 ohm load.

Most Class D mono amps that are rated to be stable at 1 ohm can run this with little problem depending on enclosure impedance rise.
