3-10s vs. 1-15

I vote for 3 10's

i used to have 3 10's in a prefab sealed box and was happy. but then i went with 1 15 in the right box for sealed and ported and it gets louder and sounds better. though 3 10's all in the right ported box would be more ideal because of said cone area. but i went from 3 jl w3's to a ss rl-p 15.

which ever i get will be in a sealed box... with 3 10s the kicker amp would be at 2.66 ohms so it would be puting out 900w or so..

That will be more than enough for the 3 10's. Mine's get around 1200 watts at that same load with an Atomic AT1500.1D

(3) 10's for sure you won't be unhappy with them, as stated in another thread with a similar question, i have been running 3 for the last 18 or so years and have never looked back....still loving them today

too bad thats not how u figure cone area.. 3 10s have about 1.3x the cone area of a 15 if i remember correctly

what subs? that pp1 puts out around 600w rms correct?

this ppi is rated at 600x1@4ohm, but these are the old real ppi amps and are severly under rated, i have never had this one bench tested, but on average from other ppi i have had or those other people i know have had, they put out closer to at least 900x1@4ohm or more usually, depending on voltage and current availible to it.
